PRESS RELEASE – PRESTON BASED SPORTSWEAR MANUFACTURERS KUKRISPORTS JOINS FORCES WITH NORTH WEST HOCKEY LEAGUE

Preston-based sportswear manufacturer, Kukri Sports, has given hockey in the region a huge boost by joining forces with North West Hockey League – now to be known as the KUKRI North West Hockey League.
The three-year deal with the League will see Kukri at the forefront of promoting hockey in the North West. The League is one of the biggest in England - comprising 188 teams from 67 clubs throughout Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire and North Wales.
Plans are afoot for a hockey fashion show where a representative from every club will be invited to have an exclusive look at North West hockey’s brand new range. Additionally, Kukri has agreed to supply a free set of shirts to the team with the best discipline record each season. Now that’s something you can’t argue about!!
Kukri’s North West Sales Manager, Jamie Williams, commented, “I am delighted to have joined forces with the North West Hockey League. We are really focused on pushing the brand further within the hockey market and partnering such a well organised league with so many teams can only prove beneficial.”
KUKRI North West Hockey League Chairman, Ken Mackay, added, “We are very excited by the partnership with KUKRI, which will give us a huge boost. We can now actively help to develop the grassroots, and are looking at investing the sponsorship in such areas as youth development and the coaching of umpires.”
Kukri is fast becoming ‘THE’ hockey brand due to successful partnerships with Scottish Hockey and more recently with the ‘Hockeyroos’ –Australia’s women’s team.
